YouthBuild McLean County Takes Home Trophy!

YouthBuild McLean County returned home recently sporting the Illinois YouthBuild Coalition Championship Trophey.  10 representatives of YouthBuild McLean County faced talented players from five other talented Illinois YouthBuild basketball teams during the tournament. 

Led by Coach Kevin Bradley and Assistant Coach Jeremiah Powe the team pulled together for two late-night practices before meeting their opponents on the hardwood.  After progressing through some tough games, YBMC entered the finals to face YCC Waukegan.  It was a close fought game with YBMC trailing in the third quarter. 

 "A young woman approached the team and said that she had been watching us play all day, and that we were a good team if we could just get back in our rhythm", said Coach Bradley.  It was the push the team needed; they came out strong in the fourth quarter to win the game. 

Congratulations to team members Antonio Caffey, Dennis Davis, Mike Donnelly, Dwayne Farris, Levi Manley, Demetrius Moore, Anthony Rials, Daronte Thomas, Coach Bradley, and Assistant Coach Jeremiah Powe.  YBMC is proud to be represented by you, and of your leadership and accomplishment.
